The phrase was originally made famous by announcer Tom Cheek who famously exclaimed, “Touch ‘em all, Joe” as Joe Carter hit a World Series-winning home run in 1993 for the Toronto Blue Jays. The phrase now seems appropriate for outgoing Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Don Stephens who has certainly hit the proverbial homerun in his career.

In late September, Yvonne announced that she and her husband will be moving out-of-state which prompted her resignation.

In mid-August, Methodist Retirement Communities was busy with exciting announcements. Firstly, Lee Trumble accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer as the organization celebrates the retirement of Don Stephens who formerly held the role. Secondly, Matthew Currie accepted a promotion from Vice President of Operations to Chief Operating Officer.

The dynamic between sisters is something very special, something difficult to describe to someone who doesn’t have a sister to call their own. This type of bond is on display each day at Crestview Terrace where two sisters, Vickie and Pat, live as neighbors. From childhood, and into adulthood, they have remained close to one another.

We would likely all agree that senior adults have a higher risk of experiencing a life altering event than a younger adult. These events might be losing a spouse, facing a health crisis or new diagnosis, or even making a major move. So, what are the chances seniors will endure various life altering events?

The 2024 MRC ICARE Champions and Service Award Recipients were honored at a Celebration Brunch in February where they were each treated to a day at a spa, along with the guest of their choice.
