Mickey spent his life serving others. He cared deeply for his family, served faithfully in his church, volunteered at a local hospital, and generously donated blood—over 20 gallons through the years, one pint at a time.
After he lost his wife, Mickey continued actively serving his family, church and others. Over time, however, his health declined and then came a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. Mickey’s family faced a difficult reality.
A fall led to hospitalization, rehab, and the need for long-term care. The first community they tried was not truly equipped to meet Mickey’s needs. His year there was a difficult one.
Then came another fall and another stint in the hospital. His family wasn’t sure what to do. They knew and trusted Methodist Retirement Communities, but never imagined it could be an option.
They didn’t think they could afford it.
BUT THEN,
A friend suggested they inquire about the MRC Covenant fund.
Because of generous partners like you, Mickey’s family received something truly priceless
. . . PEACE of MIND . . .
He was getting the care he needed with dignity, comfort, and joy.
Your gifts fill the gap between what residents like Mickey can pay on their own, and what their care actually costs, providing a safe home with compassionate, loving support.
“We had such peace in knowing that Dad was cared for by people who deeply loved and enjoyed caring for him. The peace that brought was a gift, and really a gift that would not have happened if it hadn't been for those who give to the Covenant Fund.” - Mickey’s son, Jeff
Won’t you give peace of mind to an older adult and their family today?
