Looking Through Eden Eyes

In 2020, MRC began infusing The Eden Alternative philosophies into employee training and engagement. Since that time, over 200 hundred MRC employees have had the opportunity to attend a three-day in-person training which is led by Amy Horton, Vice President of Operations, and Hannah Pierce, Healthcare Administrator at PineCrest.

While all employees benefit from regular exposure to The Eden Alternative culture, key leaders are hand selected for the overnight training. “We think of these employees as culture influencers and ambassadors,” explained Horton.  

These culture change leaders are identified by the Executive Directors at each campus, often with the recommendation of their supervisor.

James Logan, Executive Director at Creekside shared, “I look for employees who already seem to align with the mindset that The Eden Alternative teaches. I also look for those who are well positioned to bring that influence back to others who so greatly impact the care delivered to residents each and every day.”
