Ms. Elnora Stamps found herself in a difficult situation after moving across the country. She learned that the living arrangements she was counting on weren’t going to be permanent. She didn’t panic for long because, according to her, God led her to Crestview Terrace in Bryan, Texas. There, she met Property Manager, Liz Hernandez. Liz helped her make a plan and soon, she was settling in to her new home.
Ms. Stamps explained, "I came to Texas to start a new life. After I was here two weeks, I found out I was homeless. I had nowhere to go. The Lord sent me over here to Crestview Terrace and Ms. Liz did not judge me, she accepted me for who I was and gave me a home. Now, I have a home and I have a family. I have people who care about me and I thank the Lord and Ms. Liz everyday because I have a HOME at Crestview Terrace!”
According to Hernandez, Ms. Stamps has several neighbors who have taken her under their wing to make sure she has everything she needs. She explained, “When she first came to Texas, she only had a small card table and folding chair. Since that time, she has really built a great life for herself, we are so honored to be a part of her incredible story. She tells me that she is strong and she can do anything. And you know what? She is absolutely right!”
