Respite Care

For caregivers needing a break or wanting to get acquainted with the memory support services offered at PineCrest, respite care is available. Respite care for individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia can give family members the flexibility to run errands, work or simply relax with peace of mind knowing their loved one is in a safe, enriching environment.

Individuals receiving respite care at PineCrest can stay for the day, overnight or for a few days at a time. Sometimes, dementia can cause people to feel uncomfortable in a new environment, so it can be effective to have an individual stay for shorter periods of time on a regular basis. This can allow him/her to become comfortable with PineCrest, which can be important during emergency situations or events that require extended periods of care. It can also help with full-time transitions.
